The Ministry of Economy confirmed that the UAE plays a pivotal role in promoting trade and investment cooperation and developing the prospects for economic partnership in various vital sectors between the countries of the Association of Countries bordering the Indian Ocean (Aura), during its participation in the expert meeting to enhance the intra-regional trade of the Association of Indian Ocean Countries which was held Finally in Mauritius

The meeting was opened by \”Nanakumar Buddha\”, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and International Trade in Mauritius, in the presence of Dr. \”Nomovoyo Nokoye\”, Secretary-General of the Aura Organization, in the presence of more than 42 representatives from 22 countries, and the Ministry was represented by\” Mohamed Nasser Hamdan Al Zaabi\”, Director of the Trade Promotion Department within the framework of the UAE presidency of the Association for the period from 2019 to 2021

\”Al-Zaabi\” stressed that the establishment of the Aura Association provided a common platform for regional economic cooperation and exploration of the potentials and means of liberalizing trade across the countries of the region, which enhances its ability to face challenges and reduce barriers to ensure the flow of goods, services, investment, and technology.
