Quality Policy
The Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UAQ Chamber) is committed to supporting sustainable economic development and enhancing the competitiveness of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. Guided by its mission to represent the interests of the business community, provide integrated and value-added services to members, investors, and entrepreneurs, foster a competitive business and investment environment, and strengthen effective partnerships between the public and private sectors, the Chamber is committed to establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, aligned with its strategic plans, the vision of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, and international best practices.
The Chamber recognises that quality is a comprehensive management philosophy founded on effective leadership, customer focus, continual improvement, innovation, digital transformation, sound governance, sustainability, and organisational capability development. This approach strengthens confidence in the business environment, supports economic growth, and creates sustainable value for members, customers, stakeholders, and the wider community.
To achieve this commitment, the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce & Industry shall:
1.) Deliver outstanding institutional services that meet the needs and expectations of members, customers, investors, and strategic partners while continuously enhancing customer experience and satisfaction. The Chamber shall also support and represent the business community through the development of services, initiatives, and programs that strengthen private sector competitiveness and create an attractive environment for investment and entrepreneurship.
2.) Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, statutory, and other relevant requirements governing the Chamber’s activities while promoting compliance, transparency, integrity, accountability, and sound institutional governance.
3.) Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of organisational processes, achieve strategic objectives, enhance service quality, and improve institutional performance. The Chamber is committed to fostering a culture of innovation and continual improvement by adopting international best practices and continuously enhancing its services and operational processes.
4.) Strengthen organisational readiness and future business foresight by monitoring economic, commercial, technological, and global trends, analysing future scenarios, and developing initiatives that enhance institutional resilience, sustainability, and adaptability. The Chamber shall also accelerate digital transformation and leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to improve services, optimise business processes, support evidence-based decision-making, enhance data analytics capabilities, increase operational efficiency, and deliver faster, smarter, and more proactive services.
5.) Develop and empower human capital for future jobs by investing in organizational capability development, enhancing future skills, promoting continuous learning and innovation, and preparing employees to meet the evolving demands of future economies, technologies, and labor markets.
6.) Apply risk-based thinking and opportunity management throughout all activities to support business continuity, strengthen organizational resilience, achieve intended outcomes, effectively respond to challenges, and capitalize on opportunities for continual improvement.
7.) Establish, monitor, and periodically review quality objectives and performance indicators, evaluate and analyze performance results, and implement appropriate actions to ensure the achievement of objectives and support continual improvement.
8.) Provide adequate human, financial, technological, and operational resources to ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, sustainability, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
9.) Continually improve the Quality Management System and the Chamber’s services through periodic reviews of QMS effectiveness, performance measurement and analysis, member and customer satisfaction assessments, internal and external audit results, management of nonconformities, implementation of corrective and improvement actions, lessons learned, and benchmarking against best practices, thereby enhancing service quality, operational excellence, institutional effectiveness, and sustainable value for the business community.
Top Management of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce & Industry is fully committed to providing the leadership, resources, and support necessary for the effective implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System. The Chamber shall ensure that this Quality Policy is communicated, understood, implemented, and periodically reviewed at all organisational levels to maintain its continuing suitability with the Chamber’s organisational context, strategic direction, stakeholder expectations, and future economic and technological developments.
