Headed by H.E. Ammar Rashid Al-Alili, member of the Board of Directors of um al-Quwain Chamber and chairman of the Center Committee, the Committee of um Al-Quwain Center for Conciliation and Commercial Arbitration held its first meeting on Thursday morning, 22 October 2020, at the chamber\’s headquarters and in the presence of the two members of the committee.

During the meeting, the mechanism of action at the Center was reviewed and a summary of the Center\’s system and federal law No. 6 for 2018 on arbitration and the issues currently being raised at the Centre were reviewed.
The Committee has made several recommendations concerning the increase in the number of its members by at least five members in accordance with the provisions of the system, the preparation of a booklet for review on the rules of the center and the procedures adopted by the Committee, the preparation of the manual of procedures and the development of the list of arbitrators to include a brief profile of their resumes.
The Committee also decided to simplify the review procedures and adopt it to submit applications electronically through the Chamber\’s website, and to discuss the list of fees and arbitration fees at future meetings.
