The value of the UAE\’s trade-in aluminum increased to about eight billion dirhams during the first quarter of last year, according to the figures approved by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority.

According to the figures, the country’s aluminum trade achieved record growth, by more than 23%, during the period from January to March of last year, compared to the same period in 2018, when the value reached 6.5 billion dirhams.

Aluminum trade accounted for 2% of the total UAE non-oil trade during the first quarter of 2019, at a value of 396 billion dirhams.
